Agreement to Terms
Welcome to OM Rides. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website (www.omrides.com) and self-drive car rental services operated by OM RIDES SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, having its registered office at 2/171, Vibhav Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow - 226010. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Definitions
"Company/We/Us/Our" refers to OM RIDES SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED.
"Customer/You/Your/Renter" refers to the individual renting the vehicle.
"Vehicle" refers to the self-drive car rented from OM Rides.
"Rental Period" refers to the duration of the vehicle rental as agreed.
"Security Deposit" refers to the refundable amount held during rental.
"Services" refers to self-drive car rental services provided by OM Rides.
Eligibility Criteria
To rent a vehicle from OM Rides, you must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid Indian driving license (minimum 1 year old)
- Provide valid government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID)
- Have a valid payment method for deposits and rental charges
- Not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at pickup
- Be an Indian citizen or have valid visa for foreign nationals
Booking & Payment Terms
3.1 Booking Process
- Bookings can be made via website, WhatsApp, or phone call
- Advance booking is recommended for vehicle availability
- Booking confirmation is subject to document verification
- We reserve the right to refuse service without explanation
3.2 Payment Terms
- Full rental amount payable at the time of vehicle pickup
- Security deposit: Rs. 5,000 - Rs. 15,000 (varies by vehicle)
- Accepted modes: UPI, Bank Transfer, Cash, Debit/Credit Cards
- All prices are inclusive of GST where applicable
3.3 Security Deposit
- Refundable within 3-5 working days after vehicle return
- Deductions may apply for damages, fines, or late returns
- Deposit amount depends on vehicle category and rental duration
Vehicle Usage Rules
4.1 Permitted Use
- Personal transportation within India only
- Only the registered renter may drive the vehicle
- Additional drivers must be pre-approved and documented
- Vehicle must be returned to the designated location
4.2 Kilometer Limits
- Daily limit: 250 km (or as specified in booking)
- Excess km charged at Rs. 8-15 per km depending on vehicle
- Unlimited km packages available on request
4.3 Fuel Policy
- Vehicle provided with a specific fuel level
- Return with same fuel level or pay for difference
- Only use fuel type specified for the vehicle
5. Prohibited Activities (ZERO TOLERANCE)
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination and legal action:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Rash or negligent driving, racing, or stunts
- Sub-letting or unauthorized use of the vehicle
- Using vehicle for illegal activities or transportation of contraband
- Crossing international borders
- Smoking inside the vehicle
- Transporting hazardous materials
- Using vehicle for commercial purposes (taxi, delivery)
- Overloading beyond vehicle capacity
- Towing other vehicles or being towed (except emergencies)
- Tampering with odometer or GPS devices
- Removing or damaging company stickers/branding
6. Damages & Liability
6.1 Customer Liability
- Responsible for all damages during rental period
- Liable for traffic violations and fines incurred
- Responsible for theft or loss of vehicle/accessories
- Must report accidents within 1 hour to OM Rides and police
6.2 Insurance Coverage
- Basic third-party insurance included
- Comprehensive insurance available at additional cost
- Insurance void if prohibited activities are involved
- Deductible/excess charges apply as per policy
6.3 Company Limitation
- Not liable for personal belongings left in vehicle
- Not responsible for trip delays due to breakdowns
- Maximum liability limited to rental amount paid
Cancellation & Refund

- Free cancellation: 48+ hours before pickup
- 50% charge: 24-48 hours before pickup
- 100% charge: Less than 24 hours or no-show
- Refunds processed within 5-7 working days
Late Returns
- Grace period: 30 minutes (no charge)
- 30 min - 3 hours late: Rs. 500 penalty
- 3-6 hours late: Half day rental charge
- 6+ hours late: Full day rental charge
- Inform us in advance for extensions when possible
9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by laws of India
- Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Lucknow
- Courts in Lucknow shall have exclusive jurisdiction
- Arbitration as per Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website including logos, text, graphics, and software is the property of OM RIDES SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED and protected by Indian intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with updated date. Continued use of services after modifications constitutes acceptance of new terms.
